We've just purchased 3 new digital bat detectors, 2 bat information booklets and 6 bat identifiaction sheets ready for our 2015 bat watching sessions. We'll advertise our sessions on the village noticeboards, on facebook, twitter and on this website. All welcome. If there is a bat expert out there who'd like to join us, we'd be very appreciative of your knowledge. Many thanks to Blisworth Baptist Church whose £100 donation enabled us to buy a bat detector and the information sheets. Their team will be along to the tunnel area to enjoy a bat evening as soon as the warm evenings arrive.

Our bat watching sessions to date have been a great success! The Scouts have joined us as well as some villagers. We've successfully identified Noctule bats, Daubenton's bats and Pipestrelle bats close to the tunnel mouth. The Bat Trust have sent us lots of useful information and our bat watching should go from strength to strength. We are hoping for a successful Canal Festival in August to enable us to purchase some more detectors.
